Winter breeze

 

 Can you believe how cold it is at the end of October??

 I was still hoping a few days ago that it will pass and sunny and warm days will appear once more, but when I learned that it snowed in certains parts of Romania, I thought "oh no...not a 5 month Winter!" The temperatures dropped considerably and one must adapt to the weather conditions (I still refuse to wear boots though). 

You can feel the cold Winter air piercing your lungs in every hour of the day and even though now it's sunny, I pray it won't snow any time soon here because really... I am not prepared for Winter yet. For now, hats will keep my head warm, fluffy cardigans and capes will cover me up nicely and soft scarves will help me pass the cold.

 It seems that lately I've been into these dark blue, light blue, nude and beige shades, colors I unconsciously wear; it just feels right at this moment. Maybe the next day I will be in a crazy fuchsia phase, who knows? And I can't seem to let go of that hat. I just love it! This proves that it goes with so many different outfits, so yes, a must have item in any wardrobe, for sure!

 I have to finish packing, my little vacation is over and in a few hours I have to be on a very lazy train - delightful.

 You know that I have moments when I wish to throw away all my pairs of pants, but then there are some days when I see a nice pair of jeans and think "I just need them in my life!". I thought the same with these I am wearing here, simple, basic, a nice shade of blue - and the fact is that I needed another pair in my wardrobe just for those moments when I am too lazy to dress up fancy. Because, well, we can't always be feminine and aristocratic.

 In my case, I threw on a basic nude shirt, my adorable ankle boots perfect for this weather and a statement scarf to stand out and voila! Simple and clean.

New Favorites

A few of my favorite things include my Clare Vivier clutch, these Tory Burch flats, and my new Rag and Bone skinny jeans! I know I just raved about my favorite J. Brand jeans last week, but these are my NEW favorite! Haha I'm so obsessed with them and they fit me perfectly.I will probably be wearing them every day! Oh and guess what?? They're on SALE!! Totally worth the price!

Sexy Biker Chick + Style Lately

[H named this post, if you couldn't tell. ;]

Okay, first of all, I apologize for the bad quality of these pictures! We took them at night [we usually take them in the mornings] and so they look kind of fuzzy! On a similar note, I have an amazing new design in the works that I'm so excited about, thanks to the fab Aubrey.

Anyway, have you ever wondered why I never wear jeans on the blog? Well, I hardly wear them not on the blog either. Here's why: I have a big butt, and tiny chicken ankles. If the jeans fit me nicely up top, they are too loose on my calves/ankles. I typically wear leggings, because I hate when jeans are loose on my legs. I have only ever found one pair [THESE from Old Navy] that are tight enough on my legs, so wearing jeans is a serious struggle for me. I found these jeans at Aeropostale, and this is the closest I've been to loving a pair of jeans. They are still a little too loose on the calves for my personal taste, but I love everything else about them! If you don't have skinny calves/ankles, I highly recommend them! :]

Oh, and remember when I said that Aeropostale was stepping up their game? Well I really meant it. I'm not just saying this for the money--I would never promote anything that I didn't personally love. And I LOVE this jacket! SO MUCH. I know that it's still over 100 degrees in Arizona right now, but I don't even care! I am so excited for fall that I had to put on this fab jacket and some booties! [Check out my fashion Pinterest board for some fall inspiration!] I have been craving fall lately--everything about it, but especially Thanksgiving and Christmas! It truly is the greatest time of the year, and I am READY for it all! I'm not the only one who's over summer, right??

Day Sixteen // Burnt Orange

This outfit is probably my go-to casual look. I know that I post a lot of outfits wearing skirts and dresses, but if I wasn't blogging all of my looks, I probably wouldn't be wearing those every day. My everyday look is usually jeans, heels, and an oversized shirt. [This is also H's favorite look. He kept telling me how good I looked-- just like in THIS post, where I was wearing jeans as well.] And speaking of jeans, I am completely obsessed with these. They are the same jeans that I wore HERE, but a different wash. Seriously loving the Old Navy Rockstar skinny jeans!

These burnt orange shoes that I'm wearing have been in my closet for almost a year now, and I absolutely loved them during the fall and winter. It is a perfect fall color, but not really that great for summer. I decided to break the rules and wear them anyway, because I love them. And  that's another thing I want to instill in all of you: It doesn't matter what the latest trends or fashions are, or if what you're wearing is in season or not. If you love it and you want to wear it, WEAR IT. What's most important is that you are confident in yourself and in what you are wearing.

Day Sixteen of the blogging challenge is: Tell something difficult about your lot in life.
And I'm just going to be honest--I don't like this topic very much. Because I don't really like to talk about negative things on my blog. I don't like dwelling on negative things, because when you do that, there's no room to focus on all of the wonderful things. Obviously no one is perfect, and I do have my own struggles and trials, but I have a loving husband and a wonderful family who are always there for me. I have a Heavenly Father who I can always turn to in times of need and when things get hard. So...yeah. That's all I've got to say on the topic!
Tomorrow is Friday! AND mine and H's 6 month anniversary! Wahoo! H said this morning, "Wow! And I thought it wouldn't last..." [For those of you who don't know H, he was obviously joking. Hopefully... ;]

Outfit Post: My Favorite Pair of Jeans

First of all, I just wanted to tell you that my tabs at the top are finally working again!! When I switched blogs, they were still linked over to the old blog, but I finally fixed them! Feel free to check them out if you haven't already! :]

Okay, so recently one of my sisters-in-law asked me if I owned a pair of jeans, because she has never seen me in jeans. This post is for her! I honestly haven't been wearing jeans lately, because I haven't been able to find any that I like. I am a huge fan of Forever 21's $10 jeans and I have probably 10 pairs of them in different colors. They used to be my go-to jean. But they aren't a pair of jeans that you can really dress up and make look nice. The quality of the jeans isn't that great [obviously, they are only $10], they are never as long as I like my jeans to be, and since I've lost some weight recently, they are all too big for me. So I've been staying away from jeans, until a few days ago! I saw these beauties on the sale rack at Old Navy! I love the fit and the quality of these jeans and I love that they are too long! [They are a Tall size.] 

Anyway, H has this problem where he won't tell me his opinion on an outfit until we are already taking pictures. I ask him a million times while I'm getting ready and he always tells me I look good. But there have been a few times where we will be out taking pictures [or sometimes even later in the day] and he will say "yeah, this isn't my favorite outfit." Uhmm, why didn't you tell me that before we walked out the door? Men. But today, he told me that this was one of his favorite outfits, and the entire time we were taking pictures, he kept saying "You look so hot!" [He loves when I wear tight jeans and pointy heels!] Score! I love days like this.

Please excuse my tired eyes [again]. It seems I still haven't completely caught up on my beauty sleep!
