Every year, I seem to go with the typical red or pink outfit, but this year I wanted to do something a little different. Doesn't the snow/ice make everything look so stunning? Growing up in the desert, my childhood never looked anything like this. In fact, I must admit that on many occasions I have professed my hatred for the snow. I don't really know why I ever said that--maybe because I never had anyone to cuddle me and keep me warm-- but I am really starting to love it. Everything here is just so gorgeous, and I love how quiet and peaceful it is. Idaho for the win, ladies and gentlemen... [Though I'm pretty sure the only men who read this are my dad and husband. ;]

A Little Bit of Rock & Roll

It is October, and you know what that means: BIRTHDAY MONTH. One of my girlfriends and I have this thing where we pretty much can buy anything we want all month, because, well... BIRTHDAY MONTH. Haha I can promise you that neither of our husbands like this whole "birthday month" idea at all. But anyway, I guess that will come in handy, because I accidentally bid on 2 of the same Tory Burch purses on eBay yesterday, and I am the highest bidder on both and they end today. Soooo...... I guess it's a good thing it's my birthday month, right?? [More details on that whole catastrophe later!] On a completely unrelated note... I'm selling more items on my Instagram shop (@shopvictoriafarnsworth), so please help a sister out! :]

Anyway, I am really loving this pleated dress from Ivy and Blu Maggy Boutique! It is so flirty and feminine, and the color is unlike anything else I have ever had in my closet. Of course I had to counteract all of the feminine goodness with my moto jacket from Aeropostale.

 And I thought this picture that H snapped while walking back to our cars was pretty cool:

Blackout

Yesterday I had the most unfortunate moment... I was on the phone with my friend and I said, "What day is it? Tuesday, Wednesday?" To which she responded, "Uhh it's only Monday." And then I wanted to cry a little bit. Isn't that the worst feeling? When you think you're already halfway through the week for some reason, yet it's really only been one day? 

Anyway, this outfit (and yesterday's too) is my go-to for fall. An oversized sweater or shirt dress paired with leggings and booties. I wish I could wear this all year round! Fall is definitely my season, and oh by the way... It is only 61 degrees right now and I've said this before, but I kind of want to cry about it. But this time out of happiness.

BTB: Bring Those Booties

Good news: my back feels wonderful again [with the occasional sharp pain if I make a quick movement or take a deep breath] but I'm happy to be over that. I really don't know how one goes about popping a rib out, but I don't advise it. ;] Thank you all for your kind words and thoughts in my behalf. 

Anyway, I'm absolutely loving this herringbone vest. It is the perfect staple for fall/winter, and even though it was a hassle to find it in my size [I literally called like 30 stores to find it], it was worth it! You will definitely be seeing a lot of this as it gets colder. This vest is from J. Crew Factory and around $100 [I got mine 40% off] but if you are looking for a cheaper alternative, I linked some similar pieces that I found at Old Navy and Walmart!

Hello Fab

So yesterday I went to the chiropractor to see what was wrong with my back, and apparently one of my ribs had popped out of place! I don't know how, but man it sure was [IS] painful. He popped it back in, but it's still hurting quite a bit. And let me just tell you-- this is the worst kind of pain that I have ever experienced. Not to sound dramatic, because I know there are people out there with problems much worse than this, but basically it hurts to stand, sit, lay, cough, yawn, pick things up, stretch, breathe, and move. So hopefully the pain goes away soon so I can get back to normal!


Anyway, I wanted to share this quick picture with you today because I just wanted to reaffirm my love for HelloFab. Seriously, this tee is my favorite [and I really mean favorite. I will never get rid of this. QUOTE ME] because it is so stylish and so comfortable at the same time. I feel dressy without actually getting dressed up. And this necklace? No words.

Neon + Chambray

Today's post is a quick one -- I haven't been feeling great the past couple of days, and then yesterday I somehow did something to my back and it hurts to move [and to not move.] Needless to say, I will be at the chiropractor today, and hopefully he can figure out how to fix whatever it is I've done!

Happy Thursday!

If you couldn't tell, I decided to pull out my extensions today. I haven't worn them since maybe Christmas time [because I cut my hair] and I decided it was time. My hair is still too short to wear down with the extensions, but it's getting there. I love the look of the bun with extensions because it just looks so thick and full, and I've missed my hair being that way.

Rain Rain, Don't Go Away

I sure love rainy days. More than almost anything else in the world. These past few days have cooled off and been rainy, and the highs this week are in the 90s. That may still seem hot to most of you, but to me, that's basically like winter time. [Haha, not really, but it sure is an improvement, and a sign that fall is on it's way!]

They've had some great sales and I've picked up quite a few things lately, including these polka dot tights. I've been dying to wear them for a couple of weeks now, and I will probably be wearing them a lot this fall/winter. Burgundy

I hope you all had a fabulous long weekend and enjoyed some of those sales! H and I spent Saturday with friends: offroading and shooting, and then swimming and BBQ-ing! We also spent time with family, and just relaxed. I love those days where you have no responsibilities and can just stay in bed in your pajamas all day! Here is a fun video from our shooting adventure! I'd say I'm a pretty good shot! ;]

Anyway, I am loving this peplum top from J. Crew! I love that it's loose fitting, because normally peplum tops don't mix too well with my large chest. ;] And the color on this baby is amazing. This oxblood/burgundy color is my absolute favorite for fall! Oh, and these Rag and Bone jeans? I have literally worn them 5 days this past week, and I don't even feel bad about it! If any of you are wanting to spend a little more money on the perfect pair of jeans [that are actually COMFORTABLE as well as stylish], I definitely recommend these!
