Today I am teaming up with Lulu's to show you [one of] my Valentine's Day looks! Every year, I seem to go with the typical red or pink outfit, but this year I wanted to do something a little different. I accessorized with red heels and red lips, and kept the rest of the outfit simple, yet sexy, with this gorgeous black dress. Stay tuned for another Valentine's Day look!

I seriously have worn it almost every day this past week, and I'm not that sorry about it! It's the perfect color, the perfect loose fit, and it's on sale! Because sometimes when you wake up, all you want to do is throw your hair on top of your head [without looking in a mirror] and throw on your warmest coat before braving the cold... This coat that Santa brought me for Christmas is my absolute favorite! It is so thick and warm, and the color is absolutely perfect.

Like I've said in the past, one of my absolute favorite color combos is navy and bordeaux, especially in the fall. There is something about jewel tones that is just so eye-catching and classic.

Anyway, H and I are off to Idaho this afternoon! We are looking forward to a weekend full of house hunting [okay, apartment hunting, haha], spending time with some of our best friends [Chelsea and Trent], and freezing our butts off! I wore this top for a day of errands on Saturday, and H thought it was completely obnoxious! He said he was embarrassed to be seen with me in this shiny, sequin top, haha, but I wore it with pride anyway. I love anything and everything that involve sequins, so this top was right up my alley! The mornings here have been in the 60s, so I have been pulling out this amazing cobalt Banana Republic jacket. I'm not able to wear it for very long, though, because unfortunately highs are still in the 90s. I can't wait until the weather stays in the 60s and 70s all day! Are any of you getting any great fall weather yet?? Arizona is always behind on the whole "changing seasons" thing!

Oh, and THESE BOOTS. I have been dying for a pair of Tory boots for the longest time and finally found a pair that I just couldn't resist. [Birthday month, remember?? Haha!] I seriously just stare at them sometimes because they are so beautiful. H and I compared them to a pair of $30 boots that I have and we were amazed at what great quality the Tory Burch boots are. While they are definitely a pretty penny, in my opinion they are worth it. Especially because I know I will be wearing them nonstop!

Falling into fall with Lulu's

2 of my favorite items in my closet right now are this darling gold, shimmery detailed dress, and these bordeaux booties. Both pieces are ideal for fall, and will definitely be on a constant rotation. If you could take a peek into my closet, you would see one of those bookshelves that reaches all the way to the ceiling, with all of my shoes laid out across it. Each shelf fits 4 pairs of shoes, and more than 2 of those shelves are reserved for my booties. I have a little problem with buying ankle boots, because I love all of them. Once it starts getting a little cooler out here in Arizona, I swear I pick up a pair of booties at every store I wander into. I've said before that Target and Charlotte Russe are my favorite place to find ankle boots, and while that still remains true, Lulu's has also been added to that list. This bordeaux/wine/oxblood color is my absolute favorite for fall, and I literally cannot stop wearing them.
