Today I'd like to show you the latest leggings' pattern I designed. Firstly, I created a dozen or so handwritten drafts and chose nine of them. I scanned them and retouched in Photoshop. That is how the drawings you can see were created. My main aim was to show the idea's evolution and that's why the pictures are placed in chronological order.
Working on this project, I pictured an active woman, full of energy and having a lot of creative ideas. It's a line for brave women who like mixing various colours. Choosing colours which were suitable for the pattern, I was inspired by the pictures I could see after I'd closed my eyes. I saw a lavender field in Provence and a magical balloon hovering upon the field. One could easily run away to the world of fairy-tales and fantastic beasts. Then, I saw some grey stones laying far away, on a beach. Then, I imagined neon-yellow sandals, on a window display. After the shoes a black rose appeared. Dew drops were visible on its stem and petals. There were also tiny, blue flowers from a magical garden. The colours were blending, some of them were becoming dominant, the others were becoming less significant. At the beginning there were a lot of bright colours, then the whole pattern became black and the brightness is just to make it more expressive.
W dzisiejszym poście chciałam się z Wami podzielić moim ostatnim projektem leginsów. Rozpoczęłam od stworzenia kilkunastu odręcznych szkiców z pośród których wybrałam 9 . Zeskanowałam je i poddałam retuszowi w Photoshopie. Tak powstały plansze które widzicie. Zależało mi, aby pokazać proces ewoluowania pomysłu, dlatego projekty ustawiłam w kolejności chronologicznej.
Tworząc ten projekt widziałam kobietę aktywną, pełną energii i kreatywnych pomysłów. Jest to linia dla odważnych kobiet lubiących eksperymentować z kolorem. Wybierając paletę barw kierowałam się obrazami które pojawiały się po zamknięciu oczu: widziałam pole lawendy w Prowansji a nad nim unoszący się fantastyczny balon, którym można uciec w krainę bajek i dziwnych stworów. Następnie zimne, szare kamienie leżące daleko nad morzem. Jak kolejne moja wyobraźnia wyświetliła obraz żółto-neonowych sandałów samotnie stojących na wystawie. Po nim pojawiła się czarna róża z kropelkami rosy spływającej po niej i niebieskie drobne kwiatki z magicznego ogrodu. Te kolory przenikały się, jedne zajmowały pozycję dominującą, aby odebrać ją innym. W początkowym momencie przeważały mocne barwy, aby na koniec całość wypełniła czerń, a intensywne kolor stał się tylko wyrazistym akcentem.
This leggings are designed especially for active women, full of energy and creative ideas. Working on the project, I decided to use semi-dull, printed, cotton, elasticin fabric. Thanks to that choice the leggings will fit every kind of body perfectly.
