Last day of Summer

 

 Summer, in my town, decided to leave. She decided it was too boring and wanted to move early to the Southern hemisphere. Just when I wanted to go to the pool today... Now I have to think of other things to do, because since 9 AM I could only see the sky filled with clouds and the air felt like that fresh September air I usually crave for. But not now! And the weather forecast does not show any kind of improvement, so, goodbye Summer!

 Yesterday was sunny and nice, unlike today, I am glad that at least I got to wear my chiffon flare pants for one last time, because these are not fit for Autumn in my opinion (mmmmaybe with a different print or color). I must go and drink my morning coffee, perhaps this will cheer me up a bit.

 I hope Summer still exists where you people are!

When you are bored with your own clothes..

 

 I almost forgotten I had these adorable shorts in the back of my closet! I always loved their ruffles and the fact that they resemble a mini skirt and not to forget their ah-mazing color! I paired them this time with my dad's old T-shirt which I successfully managed to chop it one day when I was bored out of my mind. I wear it from time to time and I am not sure if he is aware of my..ahem..styling. He wasn't wearing it anymore so I thought I was a great time to recondition it and use it for my ultimate fashion goals (I keep asking myself what exactly are those)..

Leather skirts are a must-have item!

 

 There are so many ways you can wear a mini leather skirt, it's so versatile and such a statement piece that can go with sooo many things. From romantic-edgy looks with floral blouses or lace cropped tops, to fluffy sweaters for the fall and to the rock-chic outfits where you can mix studded tank tops, loose graphic T shirts, boots and so on. I chose to wear it more casually with a silk asymmetrical top in one of my favorite colors, to make a contrast in both texture and color, a pair of simple sandals that also stand out through their color. 

And who said you can't wear layers during Summer?

No way to cool down..

 

 My energy level is waaaaayyy down today, I am so tired, I need to sleep more but not yet.. I still need to finish some work. Plus, the heat is exhausting me, my body feels like melting at this point. 

 The evening before yesterday happened the worst thing: my laptop charger died and so did all of my power outlets in my room, but they were the least of my concern. I was panicking, being a total drama queen at 2 A.M., thinking that all my projects are in my laptop and therefor I will fail all of my exams. I decided at some point to think about it the next morning and luckily the problem got solved in an hour thanks to a friend of mine. I was surprised honestly. 

Then I just thought about it and realized hoooow addicted we are to our computers, everything we do, we do on them (well... not everything, we can't cook or sleep, just to name a few) and it's just awful.

 Now, I have to study, and guess what?  most of my courses are on my laptop! 

Hopefully no other harm will happen to it.

Sunny Summer Days

 

 Too much sun, too much heat all of the sudden! Honestly, I don't really like taking photos at noon, at such times you can't find a bit of shade, but it was the only time I stepped out of the house since I begun working like a crazy person to finish University projects, to run some errands and luckily I was with Ada who was kind enough to sacrifice herself and her sunglasses for the sake of my blog. Thank you dear! 

So, Summer is here, two more weeks left of my Master's first year, color blocks everywhere - you'll see soon what I mean - and well, trying not to get too distracted by the idea of sipping cocktails on a beach.. Wish me luck with that!

Time for a change

 

 So, I cut my hair! Yes, I wanted a change for some time now and to be honest, I was a bit anxious whether this haircut would suit me or not. After I saw myself I realized how thick my hair is and I never imagined I would have such volume! Anyway, looking in the mirror constantly smiling like a Cheshire cat, I realized how much I resemble with Megan Draper from "Mad Men". In a subconscious way I made my decision based on her look. Now I feel much more retro and cool.

That perfect minty top

 

 

 

 

 How much I adored the Louis Vuitton Spring 2012 collection, I think I have devoured every piece and every editorial which contained these clothes. The details are stunning! So imagine my excitement when I discovered this top at H&M screaming at me " I'M YOURS!!" There was also this cute dress in the same collection but it didn't fit me well, so I opted for this top instead but nonetheless, I am happy with it! The embroidery resembles so much and the color..minty, my favorite this season, makes it a match made in Heaven!
 In other words, I am back in my hometown - oh there is a lot to tell about my journey, about how I almost broke my arms carrying four huge bags (including my cat), how "exciting" was our almost-suffocating-train-ride, and how we arrived 40 minutes late! But now, I am pleased the temperature is not as crazy hot as it is in Bucharest, and I can't wait now to take a visit in all the old (and new) thrift stores around here!
