Marzipan Doll

 

 I finally received my new skirt from Sheinside! I was so excited about it and couldn't wait to see it in my hands. Even though it pretty much seems appropiate to wear it in Spring, I actually think it goes for all seasons, so I paired it up with the sweater I got last year from the same brand and it felt like a perfect match!

 After I looked at the photos, the first thing that came to my mind was something sweet. Something like marshmallows or marzipan figurines - it's natural that a sweet addict would think that. 

So, I was twirling around like that in a very gloomy weather while people were staring and I couldn't care less. The confidence that certain clothes can give you is magical.

This skirt entered in my top 5 skirt list - yes I have lists like that..

Vintage Saturdays

 

 While everybody around me on the streets was wearing jeans, light boots, grey/black/brown jackets and scarves in the same colors, I was like a snowdrop flower emerged from a long boring and hard winter. To me, it was a great weather to still wear dress shoes and colorful skirts even though a cold wind was blowing here and there, but one could feel the warm sun and the fresh air of Fall. 

 I tend to enjoy this season as much as I can, by even wearing pretty clothes and drinking hot delicious coffees in elegant interiors. That's how my Saturday was like.

 Don't deny the fact that every woman desires to feel like an aristocrat and you can make time to feel like a noble lady if you find the right places. I guess I was influenced by Kate Morton's "The house at Riverton" and wanted to recreate the book's mood a bit.

Play a little from time to time

 

 Sometimes I get enough of pencil skirts, cool shirts and classic heels and I want to play a bit with my outfits. I don't know about you but wearing light circle dresses with socks and boots makes me feel like a teenager. Sometimes I like to be that way.

 And since Autumn came it was about time to start wearing layers , so sweaters over dresses are a must! 

What your favorite outfit for Fall? 

 

 Wearing: thrifted sweater and dress, vintage earrings, handmade ring, New Look socks, borrowed boots (thank you Ada, by the way!) bag from Avon.

 

Desaturation

 

 Slowly turning into a monochrome-fashion-phase? Hmm..not quite, I still feel the need to add some color on me (and the haircolor doesn't count!) and around me, even though listening to The Black Keys, drinking wine and run from responsabilities beats my own rules. Not that I have that many. 

In any case, I am happy the snow has gone away - hopefully it won't come back anytime soon - I am also happy I finally purchased one of my favorite perfumes "Nina" by Nina Ricci and not that happy that I can't seem to find a simple basic white shirt - sorry, ANOTHER simple basic white shirt. 

Enough babbling, just go out being feminie and pretty. It's all that matters!

Snow is my accessory

How do you like my new sweater? The first thing that attracted me about it was the cute texture of those dots. Then, there was the color, a soft shade of dirty pink , not too bright and not too gloomy, just a perfect balance. Paired with the right shade of blue and you get a fabulous result! And hey, even my umbrella matched both in color and print, so to say.

Friday is here together with a gloomy weather, that means stay inside the house, work for school and cease to exist.

Procrastination days.

 

 So I am back in Cluj to resume my studies, oh boy, I am in no mood of exams but I am sure eager to be done with them for good! 

But at the moment I am listening to Justin Timberlake, browsing movie trailers and thinking what to cook for dinner. Yup, running away from real responsibilities is a must in my book!

Can I just say TGIF? For some reason this week has gone by so slow, and yet so fast at the same time. Maybe it's because it's my last week of work... which is exciting, but is also very heart breaking. For those of you who don't know, I am a nanny to 3 adorable kiddos, who just happen to be my nieces and nephew. H and I are both very close to our families, so moving away from all of them is going to be very hard for us. [Especially since I'm such a cry baby already! Ha!] Anyway, I just wanted to include one of the pictures of my cute niece Abigail [practically my child] who I get to spend all of my mornings with while the other 2 kids are at school. We do everything together and she always follows me around and copies whatever I do. I love it so much! H has had this past week off of work, so Abigail has been with us while we take our pictures mid-day, and she kept trying to be in the pictures with me... SO CUTE!

Wow, enough with my rambling! I mentioned a few days ago how much I was loving Kiki La'Rue, but I have to rave again. I am truly in love with all of their clothes, especially this anchor sweater. I know that the whole anchor trend has kind of died down, but I am just starting to fall in love with it! What do you think?
