Because what's better than a classic Little Black Dress?

I was at Target the other day, buying a leotard and tights for my niece's ballet class. As we were walking to the dressing room, this dress caught my eye, and I swear there was a bright light shining directly on it. My heart skipped a beat and I knew it had to be mine. A little black dress should make you feel beautiful, confident, and sexy, and this one definitely does all of those things. And not to mention, this dress cost me 3 times less than my last LBD! Gotta love Target!

Shades of Blue

Happy Thursday! I haven't been feeling well the past couple of days, but I am so ready for tomorrow to come! Friday's are the best, and on top of that, we are leaving for Utah tomorrow and I can't wait!!

Yes, I am wearing these Charlotte Russe booties again. I'm sorry to say it, but you will be seeing a lot of these babies. They are my favorite pair of shoes that I own, and I always get excited for fall because I can bring them out. The color is so unique and it adds a little bit of that fall look to any outfit!

Sequins

Did any of you notice that I just kind of stopped the 30 day challenge? Is that awful of me? I feel kind of bad, but let's be honest -- you know how quickly I get sick of things, my clothes especially. And while I did really well and didn't spend any money, it got hard to wear the same pieces. But hey, I did 20 days, so that's pretty good, right?? [I'm a quitter. Another one of my flaws....]

But I really love this outfit and I was so excited to share it with you! I love pink and I love sequins, so this is a definite favorite.

Over the weekend I made a skirt! [The one I'm wearing in this post!] And I am so excited about it! I feel so crafty and domestic when I do fun DIY crafts. Oh, and even better is that H loves this skirt. He says it's his favorite, so I guess I did a pretty good job. ;] I got some other cute fabrics to make more and I can't wait to share all of them with you!

Day 16: Girly + Fake Pregnant

Guys, I'm just going to be real with you right now.

H and I have been married for almost 9 months, and I have been convinced that I was pregnant probably 9 times. Seriously, every month, I tell H, "I feel like I'm pregnant." And yet every time, he knows better. Because obviously I'm not pregnant.

If my parents are reading this right now, they'll probably get mad at me for sharing too much information. [STOP READING MOM AND DAD.] But that's okay, because this is necessary for you to understand where I'm coming from. I have had a lot of friends who gained excessive amounts of weight or had crazy mood swings on the pill, and their horror stories scared me into taking a different route. I got an IUD, and for the first few months I had a lot of problems. Not weight gain or mood swings, but mostly a lot of pain, and so I hated it. I haven't had any pain from it in awhile, though, and now I'm kind of liking it.

So every month I just know that I'm pregnant, and then every month I'm just not. [Not that we're trying. Obviously. I have an IUD.]

Reasons I'm convinced I'm pregnant:
-Every month I'm convinced that I'm gaining weight.
-Every month I'm convinced that the ladies are growing. And they get really tender. [This month I SWEAR THEY ARE.]
-Sometimes I'm convinced I have this super human sense of smell.
-I'm so emotional. All the time. When I'm happy I cry; when I'm sad I cry. [This has been going on as long as I can remember though. I'm super sensitive. Haha]
-I haven't had a visit from Mother Nature in 3 months. [That's very common with Mirena, though.]
-I get an upset stomach/nauseous after most meals. [That's been going on for a long time though, but I still like to blame it on my fake pregnancies.]

Reasons I know I'm not pregnant:
-I have an IUD. [And while it is possible to get pregnant with an IUD in, it's very dangerous and I'm sure I would be in a whole lot of pain.]

So yeah. That's a little peek into what's been going on in the Farnsworth household. Every time I tell H that I'm pregnant, he just laughs at me. When I finally do get pregnant, he's definitely not going to believe me, haha!

Sorry if this post was TMI for you, but I'm also not that sorry. Have any of you had experiences like this, or am I just crazy??

Happy hump day! How crazy is it that July is over? This year has gone by so fast, but I'm not complaining! I am so ready for fall and for my favorite holidays, Thanksgiving and Christmas. It's the greatest time of year and I am dying for it to be here already! :]

I'm Kahana from A Beautiful Life! I'm so excited to be guest posting my very first time for Victoria today! I am a huge fan of her blog,  impeccable style, & infectious amazing personality that shines through on every post! 

I started my blog about 6 months ago when I was married {1/2/13}. It began as a life & style blog documenting our newlywed life & incorporating some small fashion posts. I have always been an avid fashion blog reader and about 2 months ago decided to take the plunge and add in more fashion/ style posts. I have a huge love for fashion, accessories, and clothing! This was taking a huge risk for me! I have always admired so many fashion bloggers and their amazing style. It's always nerve wracking to put yourself out to the world as well as your fashion choices! However, I have loved every minute of it. I have loved meeting new blogger friends and have felt so much support from people who have followed me! This is only the beginning & I can't wait to see where this road leads me!

Don't you just love meeting new bloggers? I know I do! Anyway, on to today's post. This may be my favorite outfit to date. There's just something about a feminine dress that I can't help but fall in love with. My sister actually bought it at the Down East outlet for $5, can you believe that? And then she passed it along to me, and I'm ecstatic about it! Oh, and isn't this necklace just to die for? I've always loved the fan fringe necklaces, but never loved any of the color combinations until I saw this one!

[For those of you who asked, I've been curling my hair with my straightener. My curling iron died after my hair burning incident! Let me know if you'd like a tutorial!]
