Well, it's been a while since I've blogged. [I feel like I start off every single post this way.] But seriously guys. I'm going to get better at this.
I don't have much to post about.
Except OH WAIT.
I GOT MARRIED.
Yup.
November 17, 2012 was the best day of my life. I was sealed in the Mesa, Arizona Temple to my best friend in the whole world. I sure am a lucky girl. [Isn't he handsome?]
It really was a perfect day. I couldn't have asked for a more perfect wedding. I always hear those stories about how some huge thing goes wrong and the bride is stressing out the whole day... But let me just tell you: My day was absolutely PERFECT. [Now, I can't say the same about the week leading up to the wedding.... and I apologize to my friends and family for my Bridezilla behavior.] But really, the day went off without a hitch, and I couldn't have been happier!
That night we went to a resort in Scottsdale, and since we were in our wedding attire still, they upgraded us to the Presidential Suite AND brought us sparkling cider and chocolate covered strawberries! [To all you future brides, I definitely recommend wearing your dress and tux to the hotel. Might as well get some extra attention and be spoiled on your wedding day, right??]
The next day, we flew to California and we spent a few days in The Happiest Place on Earth! Heath has always said that he wasn't a fan of Disneyland, but since I have always dreamed of going there on my honeymoon, he eventually caved. And then he totally ended up loving it! The weather was amazing [70s] and we never had to wait in line for any ride for more than 45 minutes! So he was a happy camper.
[Though, he might have just been a happy camper for other reasons... ;)]
Anyway, we came back just in time for Thanksgiving and were able to spend it with both of our families. One of the best parts of the wedding, honeymoon, and Thanksgiving holiday was that we had that entire week off of work. Going back on Monday was NOT easy. And even now, a week back into my normal routine, I still wish I was back in Disneyland. Or just at our new apartment, sleeping. All day.
Speaking of our new apartment, I LOVE IT.
I will upload some pictures later, but I am so obsessed with it! It is seriously the cutest apartment. And it's all mine! [And Heath's. But he's the perfect roommate: He doesn't care how I decorate it, as long as his Xbox has its own spot right next to the TV.]
And I really just love living with Heath. I thought it would be some kind of scary adjustment, but it has been great. He even helps out with the laundry and dishes! And I love the whole housewife thing. At least most of it. The cooking part, anyway. So far, I've made him all 3 meals, almost every day. [Most of the time, making him breakfast just means getting his cereal ready, but still. It counts, okay!] He's probably had a harder time adjusting. Heath is kind of a clean freak, and he hates it when I leave my shoes or clothes lying around the house. In fact, I feel like we've had quite a few conversations in the past couple of weeks that sound like this:
Me: Hey babe, do you like this outfit?
*Silence*
Me: Oh, so you hate it?
Heath: No... but I hate that pile of clothes on the ground.
Okay, seriously? Haha
But really, he best part of it all is cuddling up to him every night [even though he complains that his arm is falling asleep] and then seeing his handsome face when I wake up. I'm obsessed with it. I'm obsessed with him.
I'm just obsessed with my life!
Oh, and PS. Another reason I'm so obsessed with my husband? [I still can't get over how much I love calling him my husband!]
So I've been wanting a camera. Like, a nice camera. And there was this stellar deal at Target on Black Friday, and he bought me one! Except then for some reason, the order got cancelled because they didn't have enough in stock. So, as you can imagine, I was really sad about it. So Friday night I come home, and he suggests that we go to Best Buy and see if they have anything.
And they had the exact one I wanted.
AND HE BOUGHT IT FOR ME!
Happy early Christmas to me! :)
Except did he really expect me to wait to open it once I saw it?? So I've been taking some pictures and I think I'm pretty much a professional photographer now. Yay!
