Neon + Chambray

Today's post is a quick one -- I haven't been feeling great the past couple of days, and then yesterday I somehow did something to my back and it hurts to move [and to not move.] Needless to say, I will be at the chiropractor today, and hopefully he can figure out how to fix whatever it is I've done!

Anyway, I really love neon and chambray together and this is one of my favorite combinations so far!! Thanks so much for stopping by. :]

Mix It Up

I have a slight problem. It's called "sell all of your clothes and then regret it" syndrome. I go through clothes so quickly. I wear something a few times and then I'm ready for something new, so I sell my clothes and purchase new ones. However, there are times when I regret selling an item, like the Clare Vivier clutch and this sequin top, and I end up repurchasing. I guess it's not the worst thing in the world [though H might feel otherwise] and I sure am glad to have this top again.

**I sell my clothes on instagram: @shopvictoriafarnsworth

This sequin top is so girly and feminine, I wanted to pair it with something a little edgier to give it a new look. I paired it with a moto jacket, which I am absolutely loving this fall, and this one from Aeropostale is one of my favorites. I love pairing things in my closet in ways I normally wouldn't, because it changes things up, and I am definitely the type of girl that needs that.

Day 8: Repeat

This shirt has been on repeat over here lately, but I swear it's one of the most versatile shirts I own. I feel like I could pair it with almost anything and it would look great! I keep picturing it with a cobalt blue skirt though, so if any of you know where I can find one, please let me know! [Of course I won't purchase until after my 30 days is up ;] Don't forget that Sugar Love Boutique is offering all FF readers 30% off using the code fashionflirtation at checkout! Another thing that's been on repeat lately is this Wild Butterfly Boutique Infinity necklace! I have't taken it off since I've gotten it. I'm obsessed!

Well anyway, the kids start school today and I'm kind of over the moon about it. I will just have the 2 year old, and it's a whole lot easier to do things with just 1 kid than with 3, so I probably won't be at home much anymore. I love driving around and running errands, but it gets tough when you have to drag 3 kids with you. Even simple tasks like running to the post office or filling up at the gas station become difficult with multiple children, so props to you moms who do it every day! Anyone who's ever questioned if being a stay at home mom is a full time job, IT IS. H always tells me that my job is the most important [even though they aren't our kids] and that it's the hardest job there is, and I really appreciate that he acknowledges that. Being a nanny is definitely the hardest job I've ever had, but I'm grateful for it because of everything it's teaching me for when I have kids of my own. And because the kids are the cutest EVER.

On a side note, I'm going to be taking an online class this semester! I haven't been in school for about 2 years now, but I'm super excited to get back into the swing of things. I tend to get overwhelmed easily, so I thought just 1 class would help ease me back in, but it's still something, and I'm still really excited!

Day Two: Neon Copycat

So today is Day 2 of the 30x30 Challenge and Copycat Tuesday, but before we get started I have a quick little story for you...
Remember this video?

Well ever since we watched it, H has warned me not to let this happen while curling my hair. But for real, who does this even happen to, right?? Well, I haven't curled my hair since I got it cut a couple of weeks ago, so on Saturday I decided it was time. I was literally on the last chunk of hair, when all of the sudden I smelled burning hair. Yup. I did the same thing! Luckily for me, the hair didn't just melt off like the girl in the video. Much smaller chunks came out, but it was still awful and I definitely started screaming. And it smelled like burnt hair for 3 days--even after washing it and dousing it in perfume. And the hair is discolored where it got burnt. Sad day. I don't even know how it happened, because nothing like this has ever happened to me before, but I guess the moral of this story is that it can happen to anyone! [Looks like I'm going to have to try Robyn's No Heat Boho Waves!]
Okay, back on track! For once I'm not copying The Pink Peonies! Instead, today's look is coming to you from Robyn of Cleverly, Yours. Robyn has been one of my favorite bloggers for a long time now, and all of her clothing is affordable, which is very refreshing!

[See the rest of Robyn's look HERE.]

Also, I was a featured blogger in the Trend Spin Link Up by Walking in Memphis in High Heels and The Fashion Canvas! So exciting! Head on over and link up with them! :] And don't forget the 30% off discount code for Sugar Love Boutique: fashionflirtation
**PS--These items are FOR SALE. If any of you are interested in purchasing these never worn J. Crew Factory pants [size 27] or this ASOS swimsuit [size 6], please email me at victoriafarnsworth17@gmail.com for more info!

Sequins

When I saw this top online during the J. Crew sale last week, I couldn't not buy it. I saw Rachel Parcell of The Pink Peonies wear it HERE and fell in love. [You all know how obsessed I am with her style.] I wore this look out shopping this past weekend with my mom and people kept stopping me to compliment my outfit. This is definitely one of my favorite looks because I absolutely love neon [duh] and sequins! On a side note, H had no idea what "sequins" were. He kept saying "sequence" instead of "sequins." Boys... ;]

So this is my weekly copycat outfit. If you click on the link HERE it will take you to her insta post where she wore neon and sequins.

Summer Brights

Every time someone in our family moves into a new house [or moves out], we have a tradition of playing a game that we made up--Zombies. The game is hard to explain, but basically you turn out all of the lights and the zombies have to crawl around on the ground in the pitch black and try to get the humans, while the humans are trying to run and jump over the zombies so they don't get caught. Once you get grabbed, you turn into a zombie.

It's a really fun game, but everyone always comes out with bruises. We played Zombies this past weekend, and as you can see, my knees are extremely bruised.  My white skin bruises quite easily, and the bruises always end up super dark! So please excuse my poor knees.

Happy hump day!! I'm feeling extra summery in this bright outfit! Two of my favorite things are leopard print and neon, so mixing them together is probably the best idea I've ever had!

I hope you all are having a great week!! Check out my feature today on Fashion and Beauty Finds!!

Copycat

I decided that each week, I would choose one of my favorite outfits that I've seen on another blog, and recreate it using what I already have. I did this a couple of weeks ago in THIS post, and I had a lot of fun doing it. Today's look is from Rachel of The Pink Peonies again. I absolutely love her style.

I have been craving this top for a while, but J. Crew is usually out of my budget. However, when I saw it on sale, I knew that I had to have it. Luckily it came in yesterday, so I was ecstatic to style it today! I don't have a leopard print bag, but I love the mixed prints, so I brought in the leopard with my belt. And of course, you all know how obsessed I am with neon--especially these shoes! :]

Top: J. Crew // Pants and Sunnies: Forever 21 // Shoes: DSW // Clutch: HelloFab c/o

I absolutely love this outfit and think it might be one of my favorites! What do YOU think??
