Send Your Dress to School in Africa

Patrick Demarchelier for Vogue Paris, October 2005

In the frenzy of fashion week, you may wonder how you will have room for all your new dresses. There is a new solution. A friend who has been going to Africa for over a decade, Jody Stephenson, has started a program to accept bridal, bridesmaid and formal dresses that are taking up space in your closet. These dresses are accepted as donations, sold in Africa (where such dresses are rarities) and all the profits benefit education in Malawi, Africa. One out of use dress can become an unfathomable benefit. More at Twice Upon a Dress here.
