Summer is not my favorite..

 

 I think I complained before about taking photos in 1000 degrees Celsius in the middle of the day. If not, I am telling you again that I find it to be a pain. I can't even look at the camera properly. I could not even look at the photos properly because I was so anxious to get it over already. Only during the weekends I can take photos in the evening because of my job, and that is something I have to live with for now.

 I would much reather swim or stay inside the house when Hell decides to come on the surface; but I do miss taking photos and I was really excited by this skirt I found in a thrift shop recently and I wanted to show it to the world; that at least calmed my nerves. And a giant size frappe as well afterwards. And a very cold shower once I got home.

Monogram golden earrings

 Remember the name necklace I got from OneNecklace right?
Well, not too long ago I received a pair of beautiful golden earrings and I just couldn't wait to wear them! As last time, I had the possibility to personalize them and this time I chose three letters that represent the initials of three important people in my life, I am not going to say who they are, but I am sure they know.
I like to wear things that remind me of the people I care about. In highschool I used to wear a lotof those friendship bracelets, and I still have them safe in a box back at home, but since my fashion sense evolved, I thought a piece of golden jewelry is more suited now. Of course, I think that if you wear golden jewelry with blue clothing is a perfect match, so here I am sporting one of my latest obsessions - navy blue.

The Name Necklace

 I am sure most of you who watched "Sex and the City" know about the "Carrie necklace", the cute, delicate golden necklace she was so attached to. Ever since then, I always wanted a necklace with my name to wear it proudly, it would made me feel somehow unique, even though I am sure I share my name with others out there; but you don't see many wear necklaces like these the way you see Zara or H&M hanging around one's neck.
The lovely people over at One Necklace contacted me and were kind enough to send me such a necklace. I got this model, because ornaments are my thing, I got to choose the length and the type of chain also. I didn't choose my real name because I rarely use it and I thought Lola was a great choice because it's simple and I always sign my emails with it.
You can imagine my joy when I received it (quite fast acutally) and I opened the beautiful box it came in. Now I can scratch another item from my long whishlist, hooray!

Here is what I love about Ann Taylor/Loft: They are always having major 40%-60% off sales. I don't ever buy anything full priced from there, because I know eventually it will go on sale. [I got this dress on super sale and it only cost me $30!] I also got these shoes recently and am obsessing over the gorgeous detail of the jewels on the bottom of the heel. It just adds a little bit of bling to the outfit and I love it!

When Autumn made its glorious appearance..

I was so caught up in my daily tasks, shifting between my new job, this blog and school that my wonder was so great when I realized Autumn is in its bloom. I don't know about you, but I think everything looks better in Autumn! The air, the colors, the golden light, the scent of dead leaves, they put everything in such a melancholic and beautiful place.

I don't know how often I can update my blog due to my hectic schedule (and my photographer's) but I'll try to stay dedicated to it.

Black widow

 

 I've been struggling to take some decent photos recently but the weather isn't on my side at all. When I happily took the chance to dress up in my newest pencil skirt from MiniPrix (received among other things) it started raining! So, excuse the state of my hair please..

Anyway, I am utterly excited with this new package I received and with this skirt. I wanted a clean, simple skirt in neutral colors that goes with so many things. I paired it here with a fluffy sweater that keeps me very warm and of course some gold accessories to give a touch of ..chicness.

 Because black and gold are inseparable!

Colors with golden accents

 

 Color block once again! I missed wearing so much color, just plain color, no prints and such, aaaaand golden accessories! just to shine some more (I wish I had more bracelets though) The necklace is new to my collection, I received it from my lovely colleagues along with a pair of cute earrings, but I will show them another time.

The weather was not all that hot to be wearing sandals and tank tops but I got too excited and I wish for Summer! In a modest way though..not with the scorching heat. 

It's Friday, which means it's time to get ready for a party!
